Privacy

Appree is a message tuner. That means the text you bring to the product can be sensitive, and the product is designed around keeping private source text out of public URLs and public pages.

Signal note

Messages you tune

When you paste or dictate a message and press PROCESS, Appree sends the source text and selected channel instructions to model providers so the reframe can be generated.

Logged-in reframes can be saved to your Frequency Log with their source text, output text, channel, variants, feedback, and related account data so you can retune, copy, and manage them later.

Signal note

Anonymous demo

The public demo is bounded. It accepts a shorter message, runs a same-origin demo reframe, and records limited event data for rate limiting and basic product analytics.

Demo events are not a substitute for an account history. Create an account when you want saved reframes, private retunes, or a larger monthly cap.

Signal note

Extension handoffs

Appree's Chrome extension sends selected text to a private, authenticated handoff endpoint. The browser URL only carries an opaque handoff ID, not the selected text.

A handoff is consumed in the tuner and then used as source text only after you choose to process it.

Signal note

Public shares

Sharing is opt-in. Public Appree share links can expose the tuned output, channel context, and visible rationale or signal-shift notes such as “What changed.” They do not expose the original source text.

Public share pages are meant for people with the link, not as an open source-text archive. To report a share for removal, email akgrenier@gmail.com.

Signal note

Accounts and billing

Account records can include your email address, preferences, usage records, saved reframes, custom channels, subscription status, and billing identifiers needed to connect Appree to Stripe.

Payment details are handled through Stripe checkout and customer-portal flows. Appree stores subscription state needed to unlock plan limits, not full card numbers.

Contact / takedown

Questions, account requests, abuse reports, or public-share takedown requests can be sent to akgrenier@gmail.com. Include the relevant Appree URL when a public share is involved.
